Jenny Smart Assistant (AI Agent)
How to open it
The Jenny Smart Assistant is live. To open it:
- Mobile App: the ✨ (Assistant) icon in the top-right of the home screen
- PC: the Assistant entry in the top bar
A few notes:
- Visible and usable to the company owner (the boss) only by default. For other members to use it, the owner authorizes them under "Settings → Assistant" on the PC (once enabled, employees still only see data within their own permissions).
- "Settings → Assistant" also has a PC / App floating-window toggle, so you can turn the entry into a draggable, always-on ✨ floating button if you like.
- If you don't see the ✨ entry, your App version is probably out of date — just update to the latest version.
The idea in one sentence
The Jenny Smart Assistant = a conversational assistant that lets you ask about your own business data in plain language (natural language) inside Fabric Software. For example, ask directly "who owes me the most money," "find some brown linen samples," or "what's this month's sales," and it will look up the data scoped to your permissions and show it to you — some results even come with sample cards and charts.
How It Differs from the Other "AI" Tools (Don't Mix Them Up)
The Jenny ecosystem has several things labeled "AI," and they serve completely different purposes. Get them straight first:
| Name | What it answers | Touches your business data? |
|---|---|---|
| Jenny Smart Assistant (this article) | "What is my business data" — orders, customers, finance, receivables, inventory… | ✅ Looks it up, scoped to your permissions |
| AI Design Studio (image generation) | "Generate an image for me" — fabric-on-garment, AI patterns, virtual try-on | ❌ An image tool, see /en/fabric/ai-design |
| AI Customer Service (bottom-right bubble) | "Where is this feature / how do I use it" — fed on help docs | ❌ Doesn't touch business data |
In one line:
- Want to generate an image (patterns / on-body effects) → go to the AI Design Studio
- Want to ask how to use the software / where a feature is → go to the AI Customer Service bubble in the bottom-right
- Want to ask about your own business data (orders / customers / money / goods) → that's the Smart Assistant in this article
How It Works
The "brain" of the Smart Assistant lives on the Jenny AI platform ai.jenny.cn (the agent-app.html page).
The chat interface you see in the App / on the PC is just a "shell" (an embedded web page) that opens this page and carries your login identity — so:
- It knows who you are and which company you belong to
- When it looks up data, it does so strictly according to your role and permissions in the company; data you can't see, it can't pull and show you either
Because data is pulled by login identity, different employees asking the same question may see different results (each only sees data within their own permissions), which is normal.
What You Can Do with It
Below is its list of capabilities. You can ask all of them in plain language — no need to remember where the menus are.
🔍 Find Samples
Find samples in the library by conditions such as color / style / composition / supplier / time, with support for Chinese color names. For example:
- "Find some brown linen samples"
- "What chiffon did supplier Zhang San bring in last month"
- "Are there any retro-style jacquard fabrics"
Sample-finding results come with sample cards (with images), so you can choose styles right from the pictures.
👥 Check Customers / Suppliers / Receivables
- Check the contact details of customers / suppliers
- Check what's owed, e.g. "who owes me the most money," "how much does customer XX still owe"
📋 Check Documents / Inventory
You can check these business documents and inventory:
- Sales sheets
- Sales orders (including process progress)
- Quotations
- Sample-transfer sheets / sample-sending sheets
- Purchase orders
- Inventory
For example, "what process stage is customer XX's recent sales order at," "how much stock is left for this style."
📊 View the Financial Dashboard / Performance / Aging
- Financial dashboard: receivables, payables, account balance, inventory value
- Receivables aging analysis (which money has been outstanding and for how long)
- Performance statistics
- Collection reconciliation
For example, "how much is this month's performance," "receivables aging distribution," "recent collections."
Some results come as charts and a big-screen view
- Sample results come as cards (with sample images).
- Receivables rankings, aging distributions, and the like come as bar charts.
- The chat page has a "big screen" button in the top-right — tap it to enlarge charts / large tables, handy for viewing together with a customer or colleague.
✍️ Have It Draft Documents for You (Draft Mode)
You can also have it draft these documents for you:
- Create a sample
- Create a customer
- Create a quotation
- Create a sample-transfer sheet
- Create a sales order
Drafts aren't saved directly — you need to confirm
In draft mode, the assistant only returns the draft to you; you need to confirm it on the front-end page before saving — it does not write directly to your database. So you can let it draft for you with confidence: whether anything is ultimately committed is up to you.
How to Use It (Steps)
Prerequisites
You are the company owner, or have been authorized by the owner under "Settings → Assistant"; and your App is updated to the latest version (older versions may not have the ✨ entry yet).
Mobile App
- Open the Jenny Fabric Software App, find the ✨ (Assistant) icon in the top-right of the home screen, and tap it.
- On the chat page, just type your question in plain language, e.g. "find some brown linen samples."
- Read the result: samples come as cards, receivables / aging and the like come as charts; to enlarge a chart or large table, tap "big screen" in the top-right.
- To have it draft a document, just say "create a quotation for me…," and once you get the draft, go to the corresponding page to confirm before saving.
PC
- Find the Assistant entry in the top bar.
- Likewise, ask in plain language in the chat box — look up data / view charts / draft documents.
Don't see an entry point? Your App version is probably out of date — update to the latest version, and confirm you're the owner or have been authorized.
Who Can Use It / How to Authorize
- By default: visible and usable to the company owner (the boss) only.
- Enabling it for employees: the owner authorizes the relevant members under "Settings → Assistant" on the PC.
- Once enabled, the data an employee sees is still constrained by their own role permissions (they can query within their permissions, not beyond), so authorizing use is safe.
Billing
The Smart Assistant converts the tokens consumed by a conversation into points, deducted from the company balance.
- New companies usually have a one-time trial allowance, so you can try it for free first.
- The specific unit price / conversion method / whether there's a cap, etc., are always whatever the software actually shows (this changes with technology costs).
- For general notes on balance, top-up, and consumption details, see the AI Top-Up and Money-Saving Guide.
Billing is whatever the software shows
This article does not hardcode prices. How points are deducted, roughly how much one question-and-answer costs, and whether there's a trial allowance are all whatever the software actually shows on the day.
FAQ
Q: I'm the boss, but I still don't see the ✨ icon?
A: First update the App to the latest version (older versions don't have this entry yet). After updating, look for the ✨ in the top-right of the App home screen, or the top-bar entry on the PC; employees need the owner to authorize them first under "Settings → Assistant."
Q: Can employees use it?
A: Visible and usable to the company owner only by default. Employees need the owner to authorize them under "Settings → Assistant" on the PC; once enabled, employees can also only query data within their own permissions.
Q: Is it the same thing as "AI Customer Service" or "AI Design Studio"?
A: No. AI Customer Service (the bottom-right bubble) answers "how to use the software" and doesn't touch business data; the AI Design Studio is for image generation (patterns / on-body); the Smart Assistant is the one that queries your own business data. See the comparison table above.
Q: Will it mess up my data?
A: No. It can query data and help you draft documents, but drafts are saved only after you confirm them on the front end — it doesn't write directly.
Q: Is there a floating window?
A: Yes. You can enable a PC / App floating-window toggle under "Settings → Assistant" on the PC to turn the entry into a draggable, always-on ✨ floating button; otherwise, enter via the ✨ icon on the App home screen or the top-bar entry on the PC.
Q: Why does a colleague asking the same question get a different result from me?
A: Because it pulls data by each person's login identity and permissions — everyone only sees data within their own permissions, so results may differ, which is normal.
