Jenny Fabric Inspection
The feature in one sentence
An integrated software-and-hardware fabric inspection solution for export trade: from a sales order / outsourcing order → create an inspection task → workers inspect roll by roll and mark defects → the system grades automatically by the four-point system (A/B/C/reject) → generate an inspection report + labels.
It supports three entry methods, from manual to fully automated:
- Standalone manual entry (filled in by hand on a computer / tablet)
- Touchscreen all-in-one machine (touchscreen operation on the workshop floor)
- Industrial meter counter that reads yardage automatically (paired with the all-in-one inspection machine device for automatic defect detection / metering / weighing)
How to Enable
Inspection is a standalone module in the app market. After enabling the "Inspection system" under "Enterprise operations → App market," you can use it via the left menu "Inspection → Inspection tasks".
Inspection Tasks
Entry: left menu → Inspection → Inspection tasks
Task Source
An inspection task can come from:
| Source | Scenario |
|---|---|
| Outsourcing return | Fabric returned from a dye house / processing mill, inspected before stock-in |
| Production completion | Fabric completed in-house |
| Before stock-in | Unified quality check before stock-in |
| Manual creation | A one-off task created manually |
Task List
Each task shows: task number / status / source / sales order · customer / product / task quantity / progress / grade distribution / inspector.
Status: pending inspection → inspecting → completed (or cancelled).
Click "New inspection task" in the top right, then choose the source, link the order / product, set the task quantity, and assign an inspector.
Inspection Workbench (How Workers Inspect)
Click a task to enter the inspection workbench, with a three-column layout:
- Left column: task progress + list of inspected rolls
- Middle column: the defect list for the current roll (defect / position (m) / length (cm) / penalty points / horizontal position / notes)
- Right column: defect buttons + actions
Roll-by-Roll Inspection Flow
- Click "Start inspecting this roll" to begin a roll
- When you spot a defect during inspection, click "Mark defect":
- Position (m): at which meter the defect is
- Defect length
- Horizontal position: left / center / right
- Estimated penalty points
- Notes (optional)
- Enter this roll's length / weight / width
- Click "Finish this roll (auto-grade)": the system accumulates penalty points by the four-point system and automatically judges the A / B / C / reject grade; you can also adjust it manually
- When confirming completion, verify: measured length / shipping length / weight / width / grade judgment
Four-point-system grading
The system grades automatically (A / B / C / reject) based on accumulated defect penalty points, reducing the subjective variation of manual grading. When an inspector disagrees with the system's grade, they can change it manually.
Once every roll is inspected, the entire task generates a grade distribution and inspection report, and labels can be printed.
Companion Hardware
Inspection can be used purely as software (manual entry) or paired with hardware for greater efficiency:
- All-in-one inspection machine device: automatically detects defects, counts meters, and weighs, with data synced in real time (in development)
- Industrial meter counter: reads yardage automatically
- Touchscreen all-in-one machine: touchscreen operation on the workshop floor
