Using Categories & the Tag Cloud
Overview
Jenny Software offers two main ways to group fabric products: categories and the tag cloud.
Categories
Categories follow the traditional concept of classifying things into groups, with the following characteristics:
- Hierarchy: supports up to three category levels
- Relationship model: a fabric product can belong to only one first-level, one second-level, and one third-level category
- Nature: categories and products have a one-to-one relationship
- Application: can be set up in advance in the field configuration, and searched by category on pages such as the sample list

Tag cloud
The tag cloud is similar to the tagging feature on social media, with the following characteristics:
- Flexibility: like adding "tags" to a WeChat friend, such as "soft hand feel" or "floral pattern"
- Quantity limit: a fabric can be given an unlimited number of tags
- Relationship model: the relationship between a fabric and tags is one-to-many
- Input method: previously entered tags are automatically added to the dropdown

Search and sort mechanism
When searching with tags, the results are sorted by relevance:

- Samples matching more tags rank higher
- If multiple samples match the same number of tags, they are sorted by the time the sample was added
- Mobile use is supported
