Inquiry Management

Entry point: left menu → Workbench → Inquiries

Inquiry vs. Quotation

  • Quotation: quote on samples in your own library (generated from the Sample Basket); see Quotations, Sample Dispatch Orders, and Selection Orders
  • Inquiry: a customer brings something external (their own sample, an online image, a garment from elsewhere) and asks "Can you make it, and how much?"—it has no connection to the samples in your system; register and follow up on it here

Inquiries are divided into three types by source:

TypeSource
Sample/image inquiryA customer brings their own sample / an image / a garment from elsewhere to ask for a quote; registered manually
Showroom inquiryAn inquiry initiated by a customer in your web showroom
Share inquiryAn inquiry initiated by a customer in a sample collection you shared

Sample/Image Inquiry

When a customer brings a sample or image that isn't in your system to ask for a quote, register and follow up on it here.

Create: click "New Sample Inquiry" in the top-right corner, then register the customer, inquiry image, description, expected quantity, and so on.

The list shows: order number / customer / channel / inquiry image / description / expected quantity / quote / status / owner / inquiry date. You can filter by order number / customer / phone / description, status, and channel.

When following up, fill in the quote and update the status, advancing an external requirement step by step into an order.

Showroom Inquiry / Share Inquiry

  • Showroom inquiry: an inquiry submitted when a customer browses your web showroom, automatically collected here
  • Share inquiry: an inquiry submitted after a customer opens a sample collection you shared

These two types are initiated by the customer; salespeople pick them up, quote, and follow up in the corresponding lists.
